Well, if you read my whining thread, here's a couple good things that came about today.
My youngest sister is going to learn how to play the violen! I'm so happy for her! Just seeing her so excited for this makes me want to learn how to play on my guitar, that way maybe we can both learn some songs to play together! So, I'm going to start with my guitar again. ------------------------------------

Work went sane today. Several situations that I was concerned would go pear-shaped got resolved AND my boss said I was doing well in my Project Manager position.
I found being a bit more forward helped a lot. |

Good job!
Today I ran into my friend William, after about 4 months of not seeing him every week. Since my store closed and I've gotten a desk job, very few of the friends I made at the store are 'available' to me. I miss a lot of them so it's fun to just see them randomly on the street. I was getting my paycheck cashed, on lunch break. |

I wrote a poem for the first time this summer. It was bizarre, I was writing about something completely different and then it practically fell out of my head and onto the page - most unusual!
Also, I'm really excited about going back to university - only two more weeks. I've had five months off and am at the stage now where boredom and insanity are starting to blur together. I have become a perpetually skint hermit and it's no fun! Oh - and I started reading The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying which is FANTASTIC. (Well, the first couple of chapters at least). I am very happy at the moment! |

WOW!
Thunderstorm and poetry... somehow the sky was just so amazingly dark and eerie, while the wind just stirred everything to wildness... My partner and I were standing alone on a train station at dusk in the middle of a dark windy rainswept storm... such inspiration! |

Of, if you like that? Listen to the work of the band Midnight Syndicate. Moody goth-orchestral techno.

Strangely, I am a classical music girl myself. Although I also listen to Nightwish, Kate Bush and a fair few film soundtracks...
I will look up on Midnight Syndicate though. Goth music doesn't appeal to me all that much, but if it is a good recommendation... |

Midnight Syndicate is Goth in sort of the way something can be goth without being goth at its core. It's just . . . unique.

My Lady, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Leaves' Eyes!
I love Liv Kristine's voice, it's beautiful. If my opinion isn't encouragement enough, then let me just say that Liv is Tarja's favourite metal singer. True, the band has a few growls, but only a few and they're worth sitting through for Livs voice. Also, on the subject of cool things, I rolled up a few Tarot Generator results just a moment ago. Have a look at a few of the ones I got: Insanity Ten of Clouds Nine of Chalices The Ever-living Goddess The Overlord Six of Sabres Deuce of Chalices Ace of Bones The Knife Notice the one in the middle, Lady of Darkness? Edit: Man, looking at the tarot card generator really makes me wish I could draw. |

HA! I knew that the Pumpkin Princess would win. Don't ask me how... It was just this wierd hunch. Really great work, all of them. Awesome indeed.
Now we need a God/Goddess Contest... (hint, hint) |

I never even saw the ones linked, weird. I thought I had seen them all during the course of the contest time. *shrug* Congrats to the winners!

Alright! Leave's Eyes! Just in case I haven't told you, I HAVE been checking Red-eye Records every so often with a list of bands in my head... (inclusive of Leave's Eyes) But I think i am coming down with student disease... no chance of full-time work during semester, bad wages for the casual jobs I work... and therefore no cd purchases.
As for the Overlord... Of course, you WOULD be the Sanctumite to get that one wouldn't you??? Speaking of which, am I allowed to ask how it is going? |

Well, I wrote a few lines last week, but that's about it. Thought of another non-sequiter scene to throw in somewhere, but that doesn't count.
By the way, your last paragraph, wow. It was amazing. I'm not entirely sure I can follow it up, anything I write will be hopelessly substandard. I'm completely outclassed here. |

I really like these contests, you know. We get some pretty awesome characters out of them. I wonder what the next contest will be, I'm excited to see it in action already.
Anyways, my cool thing is that I've finally started to force myself to start writing again. Since November is coming up fast, I've gotta make sure I can still pump out words like I used to be able to. Asides from that, I've started my fourth cycle on Makai Kingdom, plus I think that I've got enough change lying around to consider digging around in the bargin bin at any videogame retailer where they have one. I love the bargin bin, because you can find awesome stuff that's under ten dollars. And, finally, I'm going through all my old, unifnished projects to try and get them done. I'll have Mr. Siterunner know that his site alone is responsible for burying me under more ideas than I know what to do with. If I actually get anything finished, be it a little humor script or a prose adventure, I'll get it up on the board. That way, you can see how freakin' bad-ass I really am! Hyaa hah hah hah hah hah hah! |

FOURTH RUNTHROUGH? I couldn't do one,s orta lost my attention after a bit. Then again Radiata Stories came out, and it's insanely addictive for a guy like me. |
