What shall I do? I can't leave the house, and I have run out of books!! Apparently, I can't leave until my room is all neat and tidy. DISASTER!!! That
really means that I'm not going anywhere for about 3 days. Any suggestions??

eBooks! Project Gutenberg!
Or, y'know, clean your room. I'm not one to talk, though - I haven't tidied since September, and it shows. "Kidnapping Nubile Victorian Ladies Since 1867" |

My mum uses my bedroom as a storeroom for all her arts and crafts stuff, so I can hardly move in here anymore. If there's mess, it isn't mine.

What are these eBooks that you speak of?

Uh. I'm 17 and I'm not allowed to leave the house on my own at all. Because "It's dangerous" outside.
Ehehe on the room front. If you haven't tidied since September, Wolfi, you've been untidy for about a quarter of the time I've been untidy. That means the job of neatening MY room is going to take three months, not days. And I still won't be allowed out. If your wardrobe is big enough, you can just shove everything in there. Please try not to push them in too far or the snow will be heavy when you try to take them out. |

They are a scurge and should be banned.

Ehehe. www.free-ebooks.net seems to be the most obvious one, but I haven't actually looked at it, I just googled and it was the first entry.

Yes, wardrobes are a definite no-no. How can I say that after my penultimate statement? Well, I just pushed a little too hard and there was a slight internal
cascade. Off to IKEA next week for a new one.

Well, Nonny, an ebook is precisely what it sounds like: a book, but on the internet. Literature.org is
a good (and free) purveyor of said ebooks, as is Project Gutenberg. You're fresh out
of luck if you want trashy romance, but it's a kickass way to get all the classics without having to wait for Paradise Lost to be found again by your local
library.

I wrote a lengthy post on here about how much I hate eBooks, but it seems that it never materialised. Weird. The basic gist was that nothing beats the feel of
a book or the smell of the pages. It is just about the one area I do not want technology to look into.
