This may well be the eeriest-sounding sculpture in history. I can't listen to it for
more than thirty seconds at a time - it literally sends unbearable chills down my spine.

HOLY CRAP.
They stole my "wind chimes" idea.... From World of Zekira (Social Systems book) some which are used only in certain areas of the world due to climate or conditions: wind chimes are not the little objects known on earth. Whole symphonies have been made (by an admittedly mad composer) involving the use of huge metal and wood constructions that when wind blows over them they vibrate -- loudly. Nature sounds play larger roles in Zekiran music than they ever could in earthly songs. (later, same book) 7829 Mad composer Dulath creates his symphony of Wind and Harmonies of the Wings, while in Ama, blowing a lot of money on his huge wind collecting musical devices, but then making a whole lot more when the recordings skyrocket in popularity. He called these half-mile long pieces of crystal and metal "wind chimes"... others called them monstrosities, noise machines, and other less than raving reviews. I'd love to go see it. The sound quality on the recording wasn't that great. Plus, I'd have put holes in the tubes to really make em sound |

It sounds like the death cries of the thousands of pipe elephants whose tusks were harvested to make it.
