Last year I published my novel on a print-on-demand base. Yesterday I thought of how we all write and put stuff up on this forum and that it may be a nice idea to put that all into printing. Or well, not all, but a nice part of it. So here's how it works (inside my head ) Material: We all turn in a short story or poems or whatever writing. ( Art is also welcome. I haven't worked a lot with that but i'll try to fit it in. There will be max sizes which I will post at a different time.) Limits: Total material is bound to a maximum of (about)10 pages a person. That would be around 7000 words at TNR .12 Costs: No obligation to buy when you contribute. I will make a free downloadable .pdf file (You will have to register at the site.) and an version that is available for printing. I cannot give you exact details on prices untill I have all the materials. It will be between €15-€25 shipping included.(B/W paperback with fullcolor cover. No profit just production prices.) Editing: An editor will be required to make sure the printed version is without errors. (volunteers?) Optional: A short bio of every writer, placed on the first page of his/her chapter. This could be written by one of the other forum members?! Copyright: You will ofcourse all keep the copyright over your work. A copyright note will be placed inside both versions. (Anyone got a standard English copyright statement from a book? I only got Dutch ones) Publishers: We send the whole thing to a publisher and will (hopefully) get accepted That's about it for now. I think I'd be in....except for the fact that 25 Euros is around 50 NZD. I always wanted to "finish" Xothu and have a printed version.

The same in fullcolor is €23.35 without shipping. The books are printed in either Spain or the US (Whatever is closer to you ) and shipping prices will ofcourse differ. For me shipping was about €8,- (Spain -> The Netherlands) which is actually quite a lot. With my own novel I simply ordered 15 books and sold those to my friends. That way I only had to pay the €8,- once and total costs for one book would be €10,- rather than €15,- . I'm not sure if this will also be worth the effort if I have to send the books to all of you guys. (I can imagine The Netherlands -> NZ to be more expensive than US -> NZ.) You pay for each page. (I counted you in.) I could say 15 pages or even 25 pages instead of 10. It will however take a lot more time to make a book out of that.
