I've heard of this before. I'm really going to have to find someone weird enough to want to play with me ... it's such a bloody good idea.
I can just see people being stupid with it though. Like... "Ruler Of Earth: I Automatically Win" |

Ah, yes, but you see, you can then make a card that says: Alien Takeover: All earth leaders are killed. Anyone holding a "ruler of the earth card" must now eat it.
Besides, that's why you find people who actually want to play to make goofy cards, not to win. Like the site says, it's nearly impossible to win, and when I played the first time, we had fun counting up our scores (I ended up with -2000 points thanks to a card called "Poppies, Poppies: the Wicked Witch puts you to sleep. All your points become negative") but absolutly nobody proclaimed themself the winner. We just had fun looking through the cards afterwards. Some of my favorites from that game: "Trapped! You've just been locked in chest. Yell at the person to your right to save you and gain 300 pts." "The Pointless Card: Everyone loses one turn." "Monkeys Take Over the World! You lose 100 points but you get all the bananas you want." "Jesus Love You! +650 points." |

If we do meet... yes. We SHOULD play this game.
But, seeing as we're poor college students, and I live in the US and you live in GB... yeah. It's going to be a while.

Yeah, a meet would have previously unheard-of levels of awesomeness- alackaday, we're spread over no less than *three* continents- can't forget the Antipodians amongst us, after all. Ah, well, C'est la vie, I guess. Pssst! Lil-lil! I'll see your Alien Takeover, and raise you Alien Anti-Trust Statutes: the domination of earth is now carried out in an environment more friendly to competition. Eww, Spaghetti Breakfast.
 I remember playing a game very similar to this one with some friends of mine back in the good old days of high school. We'd make up the rules as we went along, and it got pretty complex. Eventually we were able to "homogenize" cards together into mega cards (such as the infamous "Yoda/Cereal Killer/Mohammad Skullpirate McGuy/Communazi Robotchev/Zombie Jesus", which pretty much won the game instantly) and carry out complex strategic dances of death on a global scale. I fondly remember the time I nicked Space Africa from under the noses of a platoon of C'thulhu Cultists...  Also, I cannot be satisfied with my life until I have met every one of you and trounced you ALL at this game.  PS. Anacharis, I counter your Alien Anti-Trust Statutes with my handy Wellsian Anticlimax: Any and all alien-related cards are struck dead by the sniffles and thereby lose all effect. Take that, tripods. -----

Blast it. Although I have someone here who wanted to have a game of that with me, but that's never going to happen. Alas. So on that note, I invite all of YOU to come HERE so I can finally play the game with someone. |

No, I demand YOU ALL COME HERE! London is fantastic and you would all love it. And, also, if it's during the summer or what have you, I'll be back out in the countryside which is even cooler.

Maaan guys, you are sooo immature. Obviously, if anyone were to go anywhere... eh. Nevermind. I was going to put in a plug for Vermont, but honestly, I find the idea of travelling abroad a lot more attractive than having friends from other countries coming to visit me. STEW! All cards featuring non-humans are placed in a giant pot and cooked until tender. The bearers of such cards now must eat them. Mwahaha. |
