The usual suspects were busy tonight.
Eccentric Internet millionaire Jonathan Wheelock has invited some guests to his beautiful country home. The evening all seems to be going swimmingly, until his body is found in the wine cellar. The only clues are a broken webcam and a missing flashdrive.
The suspects? Everybody in the house. Was it Michael Irving, the death-obsessed journalist? Greg Frost, film producer in search of his next big hit? Dai Senft, political speechwriter for the German government? Jack Corcoran, young fashion designer with a dark secret? Martha Gorman, the education minister who's just gone through a messy divorce? Or maybe Jane Couch, Jon's put-upon chef who is stuck working long hours ... again?
The clock is ticking.
Notes for geekery:
1. "The usual suspects were busy tonight" refers to the suspects in the board game Cluedo (Clue). It's always them, but not tonight. Then again,
having said that...
2. The suspects surnames are translatable back again ... Irving means "green water", Senft means "mustard seller", Gorman means
"little blue one", etc, etc
I've never written a murder mystery before but I'm just going to get stuck in and not think too hard about it at first. I don't think I'll even
know who did it until nearer the end of the month.
Thoughts and opinions are appreciated. ![]()
