You have a video game generator, and stuff like this, I have a question... Can you make a Sports Generator? like... A sports generator would be awesome!

A "crazy mixed up sport" generator, or one which is a little more realistic?
What kind of layout would you think would work for that? "This game is played on a wide, marked field. It has two teams, consisting of 12 players on each side. There are 2 balls in play. Scoring is achieved when one ball passes a goal point. Winning the game involves reaching 10 points." Something like that? |

Wouldn't be too hard, just organizing the variables like all generators would take some time

A crazy mixed-up sport generator would be pretty fun too, methinks...
"This game is played in traffic/on top of a skyscraper/deep under water/on emus/in golf carts. It involves four/twelve/three hundred players, a referee, a team of super spies, and a giant robot. It is played with three/nine/fifty large/small/purple balls/cubes/wrenches, thirty nets/goals/holes in the ground, a small wormhole and a Japanese flag. Scoring involves dancing/miming/actions as yet unknown. Winning the game is arbitrary/is decided by player height/has no bearing on play." "Kidnapping Nubile Victorian Ladies Since 1867" |

Hehe
Now the question is, what variables and how many of them. I mean, the one I stated I know I could whip out in a matter of a day or so, if I didn't bother with anything else. (Though truth be told I still work on 3 year old generators when I realize I should have put x or y thing in it.... lol. I like to fiddle with em.) So let's see: ** Play area: indoors, outdoors (- I'm assuming it's sport and not 'game' because 'games' could take up another whopper of a generator...), area's size and dimensions, construction, appearance ** Opponents: single-player through ??? teams, how many on each team, possibly including positions? ** Play equipment: balls, mallets, animals, helmets... emus... ** Scoring: action - this would have to rely upon the type of equipment, and complicates where each thread goes... ** Winning: again probably determined by equipment? |
