We just took our new Roomate on a tour of the Bay Area. That means starting in the east bay, through San Jose up the penninsula where everything is like
Electronic arts and Google, through San Francisco, and back.
So imagine someone never being here pass through places where all the big IT businesses are. |

It's like a tour through a Douglas Coupland novel.

Douglas Coupland?
This doesn't quite deserve it's own thread, but the previous Spore thread is old now, so here's a new tidbit from the Spore team. They've taken concept designs for creatures from fans and recreated them in Spore. Even the weird foot thingy..... Also, June will see a release of the creature editor for us to try out! Woohoo! |

Wooo! Beta!
I love the Flaaarg. Actually, I love them all. This is going to be so impossibly cool it's not even funny really. We really can make anything. Except, course, these guys have been playing around for a couple of years now and all I'll manage is like a blob with an eye. *sigh* Some people move in lesbian circles. I move in bisexual dodecahedrons. |

So, I'm leaving college for the summer plus the fall on the third of may, and my friends and I have pretty much stopped my current D&D game. Wiley,
however, has convinced me to put together a pdf of the campaign setting, which is loosely (read very, very loosely)
based on that Aotearoa thing we had going at the end of last year. But yeah, I thin it's cool that I've finally developed the drive to do something
constructive with all my free time.
Because sometimes you just have to ask yourself "How does one fight an indestructible being that moves faster
than time?"

I had the bestest, bestest, bestest day, and then I had the awfulest, awfulest, awfulest day, and now I'm happy again.
And I realized that if I had the choice of which life that I would pick, I would still pick the one that I'm currently living. Yay! I love my life. And everything has been so pretty lately.. |

I may be moving home for my third year of university and commuting up to London for classes.
As much as this sounds like it could suck, there are perks. For example, I don't pay rent, won't buy food, won't do laundry PLUS Spore will work better on the home computer than my laptop so I can be around it all the time. Some people move in lesbian circles. I move in bisexual dodecahedrons. |
