You should tell kids to get out of your view of wherever you look out at- stare out your window all day long, and when a kid strays into your view, open the
window and yell at them for disturbing your peacefully perfect view of life. Better yet, get some weird ball, bike, whatever magnet and whenever kids run and
try to retrieve their toys, you can yell at them and make them go away. Later on you have to give it back though, because if you don't that's just far
too cruel. hahahaha.

There was an elderly lady who waited at the bus stop across my street almost every day last year, at about the same time every morning. The best thing about
this is that the bus would come around the corner, see her and stop, and she would never get on. Every time it stopped, she just stared it down until it slunk
away in an embarrassed huff. Finally, one day it didn't stop at all (I guess the bus driver remembered her), and she ran after it for a few metres, waving
her purse angrily, as though she wanted to get on and it had passed her by. It didn't stop, and she just went back to the bus stop and waited for the next
one, which she didn't get on as usual.
I still have no idea whose side I was on in that daily struggle. I don't think I ever had an opinion; I just watched. I can't remember when she stopped coming, but I think I've seen her walking in the neighbourhood since then, so she's still around. Maybe she's trying a different bus route...? Happy Birthday, X!
Funny, now that I think about it, but most of the adults I know are older than forty and the ones in their forties are still young. Then again, by the time most people have a doctorate degree, worked in the field, settled down, gotten married, published a book, and had kids, they're well over forty before they even consider a professorship. You're only as old as you believe I suppose.
From the day I'm born till the day I die, the only side I'm on is my own!

My town has the "Bonnet Woman", who always wears a bonnet, "Tanned Cycling Woman" who ... well, I think you can tell - they aren't the most original names. Then of course there's the totally mad woman who talks to herself or you if you get too near. She once started talking to be on one Valentine's Day and she talks really fast and then compared me to her. I didn't really understand - I was just glad she didn't live in the same direction as me. Then there's Brenda, Stuart, Guy and Louise's parents who I swear are permanently pissed. Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal, highway or side streets, kiss her or keep her, we
make choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgiveness, it's the best anyone can do.

My thory is that I will be the crazy, talks-to-themselves person walking around and frightening small children someday. I mean, I already do it...

I think she just liked messing with the poor transit employees. "Kidnapping Nubile Victorian Ladies Since 1867" |
