-tackles- Welcome back yourself, my dear man - how was Greece?
Again, the first "o" in "borogoves" is pronounced like the "o" in "borrow." I have heard people try to give it the sound of the "o" in "worry. Such is Human Perversity.<3
I believe in aristocracy - if that is the right word and if a democrat may use it. Not an aristocracy of power, based on rank and influence,
but an aristocracy of the sensitive, the considerate, and the plucky. Its members are to be found in all nations and all classes, and through the ages, and
there is a secret understanding between them when they meet. They represent the true human tradition, the one permanent victory of our queer race over
cruelty and chaos.

Greece, old chap, was whimsical. So many ruins, in such dilapidated conditions - it's enough to make a bloke throw in his towel as regards
everyday life, and start digging in his own backyard just for the fun of it. Terribly bad luck that the West Coast has nothing historical in its soil except
middens and the odd battered copper disk.
Oh, and speaking of disks, we saw this one, which was really cool. My father theorized, based on certain letters that seemed to resemble certain letters in English, that the entire thing was a very large, fossilized cookie. I hit him with the guidebook. I've found some old ceramics, purple glass bottles, and marbles by digging in my backyard before. Nothing quite so interesting as gigantic fossilized
cookies, though.
I wish I had the money/time to travel. The furthest I've ever been from my house is Denver, and that's not very exotic at all.

Phaistos disk!!!!
I'm glad you hit your dad with the guidebook. That alphabet is a hell of a lot older than this modern little English thing we've got going... |

Tut tut, Asmodai! I'm biased towards the beauty of Colorado, having used to live there. However, I will agree that it's not terribly exotic.
For me, exotic would be Washington (the state). Very verdant; you can go pick berries. Berries! |
