You know what this is strangely good for? I just took this test for the hero and villain of the story I'm writing, to get a grasp of what makes them tick.
Villain got INTJ, and hero got ENFJ.
I believe in aristocracy - if that is the right word and if a democrat may use it. Not an aristocracy of power, based on rank and influence,
but an aristocracy of the sensitive, the considerate, and the plucky. Its members are to be found in all nations and all classes, and through the ages, and
there is a secret understanding between them when they meet. They represent the true human tradition, the one permanent victory of our queer race over
cruelty and chaos.
- E. M. Forster

INTP hmmm, *looks up the description*
INTPs are pensive, analytical folks. They may venture so deeply into thought as to seem detached, and often actually are oblivious to the world around them. Precise about their descriptions, INTPs will often correct others (or be sorely tempted to) if the shade of meaning is a bit off. While annoying to the less concise, this fine discrimination ability gives INTPs so inclined a natural advantage as, for example, grammarians and linguists. INTPs are relatively easy-going and amenable to almost anything until their principles are violated, about which they may become outspoken and inflexible.
They prefer to return, however, to a reserved albeit benign ambiance, not wishing to make spectacles of themselves.

Wow. Epiphany.
I took the test and got ISFP. I took the test again, anwsering as I would in have a deep depressive bout. I got ISTP. ISFP is an artistic personality and fits me when I'm at my happiest. ISTP is a scientific personality and fits me in my depressive bouts. ISTPs are best suited to the field of engineering. It's what I knew all along. I can't be happy being like my parents. They're both ISTPs. I can only be happy in writing, not because it's what I'm good at, but because it's where I BELONG. Who knew the difference between thinking and feeling could be so vast?
From the day I'm born till the day I die, the only side I'm on is my own!

Dunno. Maybe because its midnight, maybe because I can actually feel my eyes (a burning, stinging, painful sensation,
true), but that's a good observation. I think the gulf between thinking and feeling isn't as much a gulf, as a pair of planes and a pair of walls
hindering the path through each. They get in the way of each other.

INFJ.
"live in a world of hidden meanings and possibilities - part of an unusually rich inner life," "intricately and deeply woven, highly complex, sometimes puzzling even themselves" Should I be scared? It seems to think I am mentally deranged, or schitzophrenic. No famous people fit this profile, apparently. I am condemned to mediocrity! |

Oh, on the contrary, Milady- you're
in the same group as Aristophanes, Chaucer, and Martin Luther King.

*stands to attention, covered in puddle water, since someone mentioned Her Majesty*
