Lady; Have you got a Phantom mask? I really would like the entire costume but I can't seem to find one.
Crusader; practice makes perfect when it comes to the piano. Just remember, if you think you can, or if you think you can't, you're probably right. I think you can. CR; Please teach me how to play Air Guitar. If you want to learn piano, I'd be happy to try teaching you (you'd have to come to a little town a couple of miles outside London, but I'd not ask for any pay). LDF; I'm also in a choir, but I've not had classical training. I think it's probably a natural ability. I can do accents from all over the place. |

I had some accent training when I was rehearsing for '39. My English teacher tried to teach me to sing with a Brittisch accent. I still think it sounded
great. Over the top but great.
But I understand we're forming a band? Nice.... /me wanders off to search for his golden mic.

I grew up around charismatic musicians, I have the music gene in my blood but at times I just get so disheartened by the constant drudgery of having to pick up
and practice with every instrument in my repertoire to keep from losing touch with the instrument. My time gets spread so thinly that way and I never seem to
be getting any better with any one instrument. So the choice to give up one or two instruments to be more proficient in my main instrument is a hard decision
to make and which Instrument do I wish to be the most proficient in?. If that makes any sense. Heh. Because I love those other instruments and I can't seem
to let them go, then at the same time there are a million other instruments I am obsessed with. I just want to be able to play everything!
The Guitar was my first, and then came the harmonica, accordion and flute. The flute became my passion a year ago when i first started listening to Jethro Tull. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W37x7lNP4DY..............That's a link to one of their songs if anyone is interested. |

My friend Ellie is a piano player of the highest grade you can get ... and Katherine's pretty darn good on the flute. Let's rope everyone we know in!
Haha.
Oh, and Chris plays the synthesiser, harmonica, accordian and a bunch of other instruments too. And I know someone who plays ukelele. Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal, highway or side streets, kiss her or keep her, we make
choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgiveness, it's the best anyone can do.

I can play the piano, but I don't like it. Wish I could take vocal lessons, since I like singing, but no, I have to take piano lessons.

's all right, I've got them rounded up.
Thanks partner. Them creatures are slippery little devils. Crusader; practice makes perfect when it comes to the piano. Just remember, if you think you can, or if you think you can't, you're probably right. I think you can. Yeah, yeah. I think that's my problem. I really don't care about piano most of the time. Just when I think about it. So I don't practice. CR, what's your voice like? Any classical training? Er....I'm no wailing banchee but I'm not exactly American Idol material. My family allows me to sing along with the music in the car most of the time. I've had a little bit of classical training, but the woman was a witch. We didn't along. Unfortunately, she also taught piano at my high school, so she's another one of those teachers I blame. The voice isn't so much the problem as the level of control is. I have this late-life developed stagefright and I just fall apart when I have to sing on stage. Doesn't help when it's a musical theater audition. Those things are scary. She's going to tear me to bits for making fun of her typos when she gets back isn't she? Yes. *pounces on DragonFang and tries to shove him into a paper shredder*

Lord Fang, I too was enrolled in SAE for the Diploma. I enrolled, then chickened out when I realized just how long it was going to take for me to pay off the
course fees. Eventually I'll get back there and get it done, one day. A friend of mine is actually doing the course at Byron Bay and he's always
telling me wild stories of drug fueled orgies that transpire at that place.

I'm no wailing banchee but I'm not exactly American Idol material.Clearly, what you meant to say was "I'm no wailing banshee, and therefore I'm not exactly American Idol material, and thank goodness for that!" Really Wanderer? Ah, that's a shame, it's a lot of fun. I did their certificate in electronic music production first, just to see if audio was for me. It was. Ugh, really? Hmm, well I'd heard about how "hippy" that town is, but that's really the final straw in putting me off going anywhere near it. State of the art campus or no. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to consider changing my screen name to "ShredFang."

Wow, that's a lot of musical potential in one thread!
I personally play the violin (or fiddle, as everyone i meet seems to call it) and keyboard. I own a version of FL Studio on my com, but haven't yet had the time to put together something serious. As for the violin, no, I'm not that good |
