1. The first poster invents a new word, but does not define it. It could be vaguely realistic-looking, like "meldine" or "wabberous", or it could be completely bizarre and unpronounceable, like "fldih" or "hnnnnip", if you really want to decrease the chances of someone replying to it.
2. The next poster then defines that word according to their own perception of what it should mean. They may use it in a sentence if they please, and they may even provide a fictional etymology if they're especially keen. They then provide their own invented word for the following poster to define.
3. Rinse and repeat until thoroughly exhausted.
