I've been invited to a con that focuses on "creativity" in general. They have some good suggestions, good connections, a good budget - and are
figuring just what content to have.
So as a creative con, what would you want to see for careers, skill-building, interesting industries to get people from, etc.? |

Battle card gen- Uh, I mean, CCG designer.
But seriously, games industry people (CCG/Board and videogame likewise) would be interesting to meet. Also animators would be good, that's quite a creative career to get into I feel.

Ooooh! Fancy you should mention animators, milord, that's exactly the field of work I intend to get into.
Perhaps ask the animators to bring along concept art for their work? I loves me my concept art.

Authors are, on the whole, not really the kind of people I'd expect to see at a convention. Even one on creativity. Except perhaps Terry Pratchett
(I've heard he's entertaining) and Douglas Adams (alas.)
Edit: Actually, I'll amend that. Comic book writers might be a good pick. I'm not a particular fan of comics, but details on how to pace for a comic, and on storyboarding etc. could be interesting at a convention. They're popular at these sorts of events anyway.

Depends on the author, as you said milord. Some are dull souls, I'm sure, but I'll bet some have just as wacky stories and inspiration as the artists.
Writing is a form of art, at least in my opinion.
And if the author is also an artist, so much the better.
