That's right, Elfquest, now celebrating it's 30th year in print!
http://www.elfquest.com
Now featuring every Friday: digital comics! nothing new - but EVERYTHING ever printed (with the exception of the Wavedancers) will be making its appearance on the site for all to view *for free*. Since they decided to exit the print-publication arena some years back, and then went to DC comics for their last project - we've been kind of adrift. But now, literally every page you'll ever want to read will be available for you to see.
This book is, without a doubt, one of the BEST fantasy stories ever told - and told beautifully with the original art all intact. Whatever the "best" copies they have - color or black and white - those will be what we get to see. Now, I own the whole shebang already, and have recently re-read everything in some kind of order. But this is just an amazing collection of over 5000 pages to view!
If you've never read Elfquest, you should go there *right now* and start with the Original Quest - Elfquest 1-20. I do kind of wish they were releasing them in chronological order (or at least, "when" the prequel issues occur, in publication order instead to avoid confusion between storylines). But, they're going to be doing this all year long.
Do come join in the fun, read up, look at how this lovely art and story has changed so many lives. One of my tattoos was inspired by the world of Elfquest, I wouldn't have that on my body forever and ever, without really loving the subject thoroughly. Also, if you used to read and never finished the series, or didn't know they'd continued with SO many books, this is an ideal time to catch up on what happened *after* the Quest.
If you join the forums (the Scroll of Colors) introduce yourselves and say hi! I'm Apogee there.
*waves Elfquest flag high* AAAARROOOOOOOOOOOO!
