sorry for the re-post in this area but im still trying to find my way around so please pay no heed to the other post entitled the same as this one. i have been
toying around with an idea for some time now, but in order to get it even close to a brainstorm phase i need some help. i have been doing some research on my
own and was wondering if you all could help me find within the bible where it gives reference to ether the first major battle in the bible or the first person
that is given credit for being the first war general in the name of god. this is VERY important to me in terms of accuracy because it is the basics of two
major time lines that must be created in order for the story to have shape. again any help with this would be amazing.

Hum.... I have the playscript "The Bible in 30 Minutes or Less" and it appears that the first major battle in the bible is... uh...
Well, the first proper battle seems to be the well-known David & Goliath bit with King Saul and the two armies... But I wouldn't swear to it. Samuel 1, Chapter 17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath |

If you want to get re-healy technical, God was the first war general in the name of... well, God. What with Satan and his uprising and all.
But I don't recall whether either side fought for God, actually... AHA! Genesis 14:1 Lots of kings named warring against one another. Gem Sealed Signature:

It was between the lions and the unicorns on the Ark.
Suffice to say, I think we know which one was successful. Everything we do is a choice. Oatmeal or cereal, highway or side streets, kiss her or keep her, we make
choices and we live with the consequences. If someone gets hurt along the way we ask for forgiveness, it's the best anyone can do.

Cain and Abel, maybe? Not exactly a war, but the first religiously motivated violence, at any rate.

Cain and Abel was just murder though, not a war. The first one I can think of is Joshua and the taking of Canann, but I could be wrong. That is after the
exodus from Egypt. Find yourself a copy of the Old Testament, find the walls of Canann story and work backwards to see what you can find.
Pardon my curiosity but, what are you doing with this anyway?

thanks for the help everyone in the research that i have done, it seems to be that the The Battle of Jericho (the taking of Canann that
crusadersunderwear talked about) is the first MAJOR battle that is talked about in grate lengths. as for what in doing with the information im going to be
composing a a story about armor of god. me and one of my friends where talking late one night and we got on the topic of the armor of god and what every part
of it meant. after that i got to thinking and toying around with the idea that "with if the armor of god was a real armor and not just a describe the
protection a person receives from god" and so as for the whole battle's and war thing i needed a place where the armor was crafted and blessed by god
and a starting place where it could be passed down to various people (presumable some of the judges that where appointed by moses and served with Joshua at the
battle of Jericho). however im still looking through a copy of the Old Testament that i have for more clues. thanks and if anyone has anymore help they want to
throw in its more then welcomed.
