I don't remember if this was already mentioned, and I'm too lazy to check.

Something akin to the scribe programs that will write what you speak, but it takes your thoughts and pounds out the pages. Then you can go back and refine it at will. It'd save me so much time...

The thing I want invented is a language microchip or pill or something. Something which enables me to read, speak and translate any language I want without the agonies of dictionaries, grammars and the phenomenal amount of time they take to learn.

What you need is a machine that never gets lost. You'd wear some sort of collar or implant that gives off a signal, and when it feels that signal getting weaker it follows you on its little wheels, screaming like a lost child.

I get the feeling a lot of people would lose it on purpose.

Incidentally, there's a book out that I've got now, which is basically about the science behind Doctor Who, saying if it's possible to get things bigger on the inside than the outside, and what are Daleks really made of, and could you have an alien made of calcium? And, of course, what about that sonic screwdriver and the perception filter?

What inventions do you wish that people would make? Perhaps a random lunch box that can order what ever you feel like eating? Or a sort of device to keep you from losing the game... *snickers* Or something else?
