Hey, in my story I have these flesh golem-y creatures. They are made by magically binding different body parts and are imbued with inhuman strength and speed.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how they could be destroyed as in what spells, or potions or what-not, if you have any idea's let me know. I am
totally out of my mind, I can't think of anything.

I was doing some thinking earlier and I decided that it's going to be an acidic substance with magic despelling effects and so when hit in the center
(brain) these creatures sease to be active, decaying rapidly. They have no personal thought, the creator gives them a task and they have no choice but to
fulfill it. As to where the parts come from, it doesn't really matter, they just have to come from a living being, they can't be taken from something
that's dead.

Dunno. WoD prometheans just die harder than the average person. Dean Koontz's Frankensteins are superhuman, so a human can't really kill 'em.
Destroying the first letter with anything from a flechette gun to a well placed arrow could do it to. I suppose a your-world equivalent of The Unbinding would
work.

Flechette guns would be another way to go.

*Shudders violently.* Brutal. However, it would in my opinion be one of the few sure ways of stopping an abomination like that. (Abominations from
Warcraft 3 are put to mind by this thread, methinks.) Some sort of spell that rapidly induces decay and rot would probably do the trick. Maybe for all the
magic they're still susceptible to various kinds of illness?

As I recall, the original golem (the one in the ancient Jewish folktale that sparked all this hullabaloo) was made from clay, and inscribed with the Hebrew
word "amaeth", which I believe means either "breath" or "life". When the wizard who made him finally wanted to kill him (I forget
why, something about a pan-ghetto serial rampage), he erased the "a", which left "maeth", which means "death". Interesting
linguistic quirk, but what...

Another one- poisons. IF they're made of body parts- if they've got some sort of metabolism- then poisons ought to work against them (unless, of
course, they've got some sort of magical or natural immunity.) Of course, the trick is getting the poison to them. Probably won't be too easy unless
you happen to be a cobra. Ah, well.

Rule 1 of Creation: Anything that can be made can be distroyed.

The idea of a spell that makes flesh golems revert to their orginal state (that is: a mass of body parts) amuses me. That would probably stop them. Lighting
them on fire would probably work too, but it would take a lot longer and it'd have to be a very hot fire. Ripping them to bits would no doubt slow them
down; there's only so much one leg could do in a fight without the rest of the body. Flechette guns would...
