I'd say PC users can be more immature on whole because PCs are 93% of the computer market, thus your ratio of "STFU NOOB" to reasonable will be much much lower.

This very laptop is type on has Vista. Since I use very programs that Vista has issues with (like Word), I'm not typically bothered. Though when I did first get the laptop, Vista asked me if I really did want to use the internet. Sigh.

Its a good 2.5 cm, which is decent. I don't need to go any thinner if it means losing core components.

Besides, imagine how easy it'd be to snap the thing in two... If I can't have computers on malleable, millimetre-thick polymer sheets yet, I'd rather go for the option that won't result in shards of MacBook everywhere.

Not quite, because you see you can't put CDs or DVDs in it without an external drive.

This is apparently a good thing, because now it fits in a manila envelope. Neato. I'll stick with my respectably thick laptop, thanks.

I do like those new Mac AirBooks or whatever they're called ... they keep putting the advert on the TV where they take it from an envelope and show how slim it is. It's like the thinnest laptop ever.

Looks flashy and cool, but other than that, I assume same old, same old.

The reason I'm also tempted to move to Mac is simply that I need a pick-up-and-go machine, I don't need to screw around with stuff.

The thing that stands in the way is that . . . well Windows has an ASSLOAD more options.

I think the thing that would annoy me the most about Vista is the security. "Windows is doing this or that: Confirm or Deny?" "You just right-clicked on a document: Confirm or Deny?" "You are breathing irregularly: Confirm or Deny?"

Mac buttons are on the left side because they're not on the right side. That would be too Windows. Trust me, you get accustomed to it pretty fast. I have 23...

I'm pretty much stuck with PC's, there's something about Mac's that I just don't like; they're overly artistic and post-modern designs, their attempts to seem "cool" and "down-to-earth" and then there's those damn adds that just reek of smugness and cheese. Then there is also the fact that a number of people I respect and agree with (the creater of the web-comic Ctrl+Alt+Del and Charlie Brooker) also express a sense of dismay towards Macs or...

When I have money (some day far, far, FAR in the future), I hope to get a Mac for my arting. I'll keep my laptop to write on, but art works better on Mac, from what I understand.

If I wasn't a die hard PC gamer, I'd have a Mac as well. That's really my only complaint with the system: you don't have a lot of gaming options. (Personally, I smell a rat there. The operating systems can't be that different to load a game into. Can they?) But since your not interested in such things, Mac probably the best way to go. The last "Mac" we had was a color 1985 Apple computer, which was still in running condition when we sold it five years ago.

Actually there's a native Mac version. (Though when you first mentioned it, I bitterly assumed that there wouldn't be so I didn't end up replying to your thread about it and didn't discover the game until much later!) Plus you can always count on Blizzard's games being Mac compatible, Spore will be coming to Mac, and there's a (mostly) health Mac shareware...
