I own I do suspect some temporal tampering in the origin of said proverb. Time pants are involved, like as not.

Under normal circumstances, I would be all over the challenge, but I've been pummeled all week with crud I'm not up to the task. *waves white flag* I'm tired of battle, of verbal fencing, of burrowing for information. Let's just say you're right and leave it at that. Jump all over fallen form if you will, but remember the Geneva convention and courtly manners and at least bandage my wounds when your done.

Also, exeunt is still plural, even to this day. I dare you - nay, I defy you - to find a single reputable playwright, modern or antique, who uses [Exeunt.] in reference to a single actor.

But in truth, it doesn't really matter where "exeunt" comes from--it has been warped to mean exit, irrigardless of how many are leaving the stage. Though I'll give you the original defintion.

Fie, a pox 'pon thee! The noble verb "Exeunt" doth derive from Classical Latin, in which tongue it doth signify a third-person plurality alone. The Franks hath kept this self-same ending, albeit slightly modified, for their own devices. It matters not what thy thespian stint hath taught thee, 'tis benightedly incorrect. Prithee, avail thyself of thee, Duck, that "thee" doth perform solely as an object, and that Exeunt hath no A, and doth require more than one actor 'pon the stage, and that verb formations such as "be'st putting" existed not in the Days of Yore. Get thee to a nunnery.

thou be'st putting 'eth' on the end of words. I remindest thee that 'eth' is an Early-Modern-English third person singular verbal suffix only.

This is to state any minor problems, complain about others' spelling, argue about what types of grammar to follow (why do you guys keep capitalizing animals?), etc.

To start with: I would not be especially upset if someone came up with some legends or whatever. Or helped with the Snow Minotaurs. Or explained why the Legendary Creatures section seems so...random.

Whatever.
