Well... crap. Thank you to everyone who responded. And I apologize. It was indeed the binary upload issue. I deleted the files and reuploaded them, making sure it was binary... and it all works fine now. I seriously do not believe it. I've been doing webstuff for years now and thought I knew at least the basics. I feel stupid. Why does my generator not work? It gives the correct number of line breaks, so its trying to do something, but the data is all blank, even though I've got all kinds of stuff in the data file now.

I even set my htaccess file to register globals 1.
