Sword name generator idea.

I've noticed that, while we have a sword description generator, we seem to have a startling lack of a sword, or for that matter, any fantasy weapon name generator. Swords are almost as important as the heroes who wield them.

My idea is a generator that can produce:
Japanese
Medieval
Elven
and others that I can't think of
sword names.

hi, this is my first time posting. im currently programming an online browser based strategy game, and simply because i wondered if one existed, i looked for a website with lots of word generators and found this place.

anyways i have programming skills, and (i think) i know how to write some of these generators. the only problem is im so gawd awful lazy i can't find good places to get some word lists. do...

Magic Shop Generator

I love magic shops in books... but I have a hard time thinking up contents for stores when I want to include them in my own writings. So, I think a generator for making up random items for sale in a magic shop would be awesome.

The shop could give a tiny blurb about the shop, and what its named as well... or maybe these could be different shop generators based around magic shops.

Well I'm working away at a Fusion Class generator to make classes/professions for fusion-type settings (Serenity, WH40K, etc.) where genres are mixed. A few samples:

I've been working on the next generator - a generator to make classes fused across genres - SF/Fantasy would make "Rune Engineers" and "Galactic Priests". Horror/Western would create "Sixgun Cultists" and "Blood Rustlers." You get the idea.

Now the genres I figured should go in are:
Fantasy
Science Fiction
Steampunk
Modern
Western
Horror

Any others I'm missing?

Offline Versions of Seventh Sanctum Generators

I was interested in creating offline versions of these. Though I was going to use Tablesmith to do it. Mainly for my own personal use, but also to provide to others.

I was wondering if the creator could email me the tables used by the SS generators, so that I could reverse them onto a Tablesmith .tab file.

If possible, I'd like them sent to my email address, which may or may not be on my profile here. If not, I can provide it.

While trying to use the Space Phenomena Generator tutorial... thing that X provided (to use as reference to see where everything goes coding wise), I got this when I clicked on File -> Open File in Firefox... It did the same thing with the baseword file.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Some of the generators I've been reading through - items and quest items, that kind of thing - seem to be missing something that's very vital for "fantasy" settings: the mount!

There don't seem to be many if any items that you'd use on a horse or other mount, such as "silver horse shoes of speed" or "bridle of bravery". I'm not necessarily suggesting adding an entire generator for such things but it would be nice to see some of those...

I don't know if this has been mentioned before. But I was looking on the site for a specific generator and now I can't seem to find it and I don't remember the name. All I have to go on is what the items it listed had. If anyone can point me in the direction of the generator that would be helpful. This is what is listed on the generator:

I was writting a story and I came to a part where I really wanted to add in a riddle. Something really goofy yet profound. then I thought the best way to do that would probably be with a random generator. I checked everywhere for one but havent been able to find one. So I made up a template for how one might look.

X,Y,Z = a + noun (ex. a dog, a knight)
A = adjectives (ex. fast, small, strong)
V1, V2, V3 = verb (ex. run, walk, fight)

when is (X) (not) (Y)?...

Okay, I've been writing a medieval-type story, and I've stumbled across one big problem: food. It is a fantasy setting, with all these strange fruits and vegetables that actually don't exist in real life. My problem is that I can't come up with names for such foods to fit with the setting. I was thinking there could be a food type generator for those kinds of weird foods with odd names. This would really help me out, as one of my characters is packing food for a long trip, and...
